The Kingdom of God!
Chapter 121
Father, our prayer today is that
you illuminate our heart and minds and open our ears so that we as a family of
the most high God may understand what is happening,
both in the spirit world and in the world we live in, so that we might be
involved in the tearing down of the strongholds of the devil. Amen!
One of the things that our Lord
is saying in the day that we live is that we must know how to wait for victory
to arrive, we must know how to claim our victory when it doesn't seem possible!
Jesus said in Mark 4:23-25, (KKV)
If anyone has ears to hear, let them
hear." "Consider carefully what you
hear," he continued. "With the measure you use, it will be measured to you,and
even more. Whoever has will be given more; whoever does not have, even what
they have will be taken from them."
So many of our churches today
have become dull of hearing because they have been taught the doctrine of men.
They have been taught the surface of what the Word is saying and because they
have become dull of hearing, they never listen to what Jesus is really saying.
This is why Jesus said in Matt. 13:15,
"For this people's heart is waxed gross,
and their ears are
dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they
should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and should
understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal
them!"
There is so much negative news being
broadcast across our nation and absolute lies that fill the ears of those who
buy into all that they are saying and especially Christians, that it causes
their ears and their hearts to be filled with deceit and hopelessness.
But the Lord is saying, "This is not a time
to shrink back in defeat!" "It is a time to claim your victory."
In order to do this, you must have a strong foundation
in the Word of God. Paul said in 2 Cor. 2:14,
"But thanks be to God, who always causes us to triumph in Christ and uses us to spread the aroma of the knowledge of him
everywhere."
Notice that he says that God
always causes us to triumph in Christ! In other words,
God gives us the power
(Authority) to have victory in the face of defeat. He literally causes our
victory to happen!
I could tell you story after
story of how God has caused me to have victory and to always be in the right
place at the right time for me. He has opened doors of opportunity for me many
times. That is where faith becomes active, and we have to
walk forward believing that He will cause all things to work together for our
good.
Paul said in Rom. 8:27-28,
"He that searches the hearts knows
what is the mind of the Spirit, because he makes
intercession for the saints according to the will of God. And
we know that all things
work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called
according to his purpose."
Faith is an active word and you can believe all you want to but it takes you
walking by faith to see it come to pass. When you pray and ask the Lord to do
something for you is the time for you to activate your faith and look into the
future and see what you have prayed for coming to pass. Jesus said in Mark
11:24.
"Therefore,
I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it,
and it will be yours."
Paul said in 2 Cor. 5:7,
"For we walk by faith, not by
sight!"
To illustrate this for you; if I
said to you go down to the United Bank on 5th Street in Parkersburg
and give them your ID and tell them that I sent you and they will give you a
million dollars. You can say to yourself, "I believe that what Dave told me is
true and even tell this to your friends, however, until you go down to the bank
and give them your ID and tell them I sent you, you will never get the million
dollars.
Your actions by going down to the
bank and giving them your ID is your faith in what I said to you in action. If
we really have a revelation that God always causes us to triumph, we know that
whatever He leads us to do will end in victory always! We can always be certain
that no matter how impossible it seems in the natural, God is working behind
the scenes setting up things and bringing people and things our way and
enabling us to accomplish everything He has put within our spirit to
accomplish!
Sometimes it takes time for God
to arrange events to bring about what He has asked you to do! For an example, I
was in a meeting with a preacher friend of mine and the Lord spoke to my spirit
and told me that He wanted me to go to Africa. I said ok
Lord I will go, just open the doors with the details.
It was just three months later
that I had a friend of mine from, Christ For The
Nations, to speak at our church and I took him out for lunch after the service
and He said that they were taking a group to South Africa and having a teaching
seminar and asked me to go with them and teach on the Holy Spirit. I did
absolutely nothing to cause this to come to pass except be willing to go when
the Lord opened the door. Never in my life did I ever anticipate going to
Africa and yet the Lord wanted me to go. Not only did I go to South Africa
three times, but I preached there at a United Methodist Church, a Presbyterian Church and several Charismatic Churches and in Europe I
preached at an Assembly of God church in Zurich, Switzerland. I also was in
Berlin, Germany.
The Lord may never ask you to do
something like this, but He does have something for you to do and if you will
learn to be a servant to the Body of Christ, He will have you doing things that
are comfortable for you to do. It all depends on your level of commitment! Never
limit what the Spirit of the Lord can do through you. Jesus said in John 7:37,
"If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and
drink. He that believeth on me, as the scripture has said,
out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water."
He also said in John 4:14,
"Whosoever drinks of this water shall thirst
again: But whosoever drinks of the water that I shall give
him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a
well of water springing up into everlasting life!"
Jesus was speaking of the Holy Spirit and His
Word. In Zechariah 4:6 the Lord said,
"Not by might, nor
by power, but by my Spirit, saith the LORD of hosts."
Today God is at work setting up blessings,
opening divine doors, overthrowing the enemy's plans, and enabling you to
accomplish everything He has put within you to do!
In the beginning, when did the Spirit of God
move? Gen. 1:2-3,
"And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face
of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, Let there be light: and there
was light.
In other words,
He moved when nothing made sense and everything was
dark. Things look pretty dark in the world at this
time and especially in our nation, but know this one thing for sure, God is not
through with this nation that He raised up because of a covenant and a prophecy
given to Ephraim and Manasseh that one of them would become a league of nations
and one would be a great nation.
The United
States is the greatest nation ever to be upon the face of this earth and there
are millions of born-again believers living in this nation that are believing
the Lord to move on our behalf. He has heard our prayers and is arranging
events and things to cause this nation to be even greater than it has ever
been.
If you would have been alive during World War Two, you would have
known the tremendous darkness that was upon the face of the world at that time,
yet the Lord intervened and turned things around and He is doing that again.
Just be patient and anticipate it happening! In times like these is when your
faith is put to test. Just watch what comes out of your mouth!
